FAQ
Plesk questions we are asked
- Plesk or cPanel?
- Plesk when Windows, .NET or mixed stacks are involved, or when its extension model matters. cPanel when the estate is purely Linux and the team already knows WHM. Licensing cost and existing skills usually decide.
- Can Plesk run Windows and Linux sites in one place?
- Not on a single node — the OS decides the stack — but Plesk gives an identical management model on both, and nodes can be administered side by side.
- How are staging and production separated?
- Plesk clones a subscription to a staging domain with its own database; changes are validated there and synchronised back on approval.
- What happens on a Plesk upgrade?
- Upgrades run on a scheduled window with a snapshot taken first, extensions checked for compatibility, and a rollback point retained.
