Scope
What is engineered
- Hosting and domain estate audit
- Shared, VPS and dedicated plan sizing
- cPanel / Plesk deployment and hardening
- Site migration with rehearsed DNS cutover
- SSL, email hosting and DNS record hygiene
- Independent offsite backup and restore testing
Engineering Outcome
A documented hosting estate with secured registrar accounts, tested backups and a sized platform per workload.
Scope this solutionArchitecture
Hosting estate and control-plane architecture
Registrar, DNS, panel and workload are treated as four separate concerns, so a problem in one does not take the others with it.
02 · DNS
Zones audited for stale records and lowered TTLs ahead of any migration window.
03 · Control panel
Panel ports restricted to admin sources, MFA enforced, service plans capping per-account resources.
04 · Workload
Shared hostingVPS / cloud instanceWordPress hostingDatabases & mailPlan sized against measured CPU, memory, IO and traffic rather than the marketing tier.
05 · Protection
Panel backupsIndependent offsite copyRestore testingA copy always leaves the hosting account, and a restore is proven before it is needed.
Method
Delivery sequence for this solution
- 01
Discover
Inventory the current environment, measure real usage and record constraints, dependencies and risk.
- 02
Design
Produce a topology, sizing model, addressing plan and security model before anything is procured.
- 03
Deploy
Build in a controlled sequence with change windows, coexistence and a defined rollback point.
- 04
Harden
Apply baselines, encryption, segmentation, abuse controls and least-privilege administrative access.
- 05
Validate
Test against the design: failover, call quality, restore, load behaviour and access control.
- 06
Support
Hand over documentation and runbooks, then maintain patching, monitoring and capacity over time.
Security Posture
Hardening applied at every layer
Firewall
Default-deny rule base, segmentation between voice, server and user zones, logging to a retained destination.
VPN / Secure Access
MFA on administrative access, per-role routing, short-lived credentials and revocation procedure.
PBX / Cloud / Virtualization
Hardened baselines, TLS/SRTP for voice, patch cadence, isolated management network and least-privilege service accounts.
Applications
Identity governance, conditional access, scoped chatbot tools, approved knowledge boundaries, privacy controls, staged mail authentication and audited administrative roles.
FAQ
Web Hosting & Control Panels questions
- Can you take over hosting we bought elsewhere?
- Yes. Takeover starts with an inventory — which domains, which panels, which sites, which mailboxes and who holds access — before any change is made.
- Will migrating our sites cause downtime?
- Effectively none. Sites are rebuilt and verified on the target first, TTLs are lowered, DNS is cut over, and the old host stays live through a defined grace period.
- Should the registrar and the hosting be the same provider?
- Not necessarily. Separating them means a hosting or billing problem cannot put the domain portfolio at risk at the same moment.
- Are the provider's backups enough?
- Only if a copy exists outside the account and a restore has actually been performed. Panel snapshots alone do not survive account loss or ransomware.
