- Is Commvault worth it over a smaller product?
- It earns its cost in mixed estates with SaaS, databases and compliance retention under one policy plane. For a handful of virtual machines, a lighter product is usually the better fit.
- Does it protect Microsoft 365?
- Yes — mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data can be protected with retention independent of the tenant, which matters after accidental or malicious deletion.
- How is ransomware handled?
- Immutable copies, separated credentials, anomaly detection on backup patterns and an isolated recovery environment for verifying clean restores.
