Cloud & Virtualization
Contabo
Budget-weighted VPS and dedicated hosting, used where large amounts of RAM and storage per unit cost matter more than a managed control plane.

Capabilities
What we implement
- VPS and dedicated server sizing
- Storage-heavy workload placement
- Panel and OS image selection
- Backup target and off-site copy design
Security
How it is hardened
- Independent host firewall since provider tooling is minimal
- Key-based administrative access only
- Documented patch and monitoring baseline

FAQ
Contabo questions we are asked
- Is cheap hosting safe for production?
- It can be, provided you supply what the price excludes: firewalling, patching, monitoring, backups and a restore test. The risk is treating it like a managed platform.
- What do you use Contabo for most?
- Backup targets, staging environments and storage-heavy secondary roles, where capacity per unit cost outweighs a managed control plane.
- Can workloads be moved off later?
- Yes. Builds are kept reproducible from configuration so a move to another provider is a rebuild and cutover rather than a rescue.
