FAQ
Issabel PBX questions we are asked
- Is Issabel a safe upgrade path from Elastix?
- Yes, it is the community continuation of that lineage. Migrations are rebuilt from a configuration inventory rather than copied verbatim, because old dial plans usually contain rules no longer in use.
- Issabel or FreePBX?
- Both are Asterisk front-ends. FreePBX has the larger module ecosystem and commercial add-ons; Issabel suits teams that want the all-in-one appliance model. The underlying engineering is the same.
- Can Issabel handle call-center traffic?
- For moderate queue-based volumes yes. For predictive outbound at scale a purpose-built dialler platform and separate trunk capacity planning are the correct answer.
