Architecture
RingCentral hosted UC integration
The provider owns call control; the engineering work is numbering, identity, client rollout and how the platform meets your existing network and applications.

FAQ
RingCentral questions we are asked
- Can we port our existing numbers?
- Yes, subject to carrier and country rules. Porting is scheduled with the losing carrier, temporary forwarding covers the window, and nothing is cancelled until the port completes.
- What still needs engineering if the platform is hosted?
- Numbering plan, routing logic, identity and MFA, device provisioning, local QoS and bandwidth, and the fallback plan for an internet outage.
- What happens if our internet fails?
- Calls fail over to mobile apps on cellular or to pre-configured forwarding rules. That behaviour is designed and tested rather than discovered during an outage.
