FAQ
Telnyx questions we are asked
- IP or credential authentication?
- IP authentication for fixed-address PBXs, credentials where the address changes. Both together where the platform allows it.
- Why does audio quality vary by destination?
- Route selection and transcoding. Reviewing per-destination metrics and restricting codec negotiation usually resolves it.
- Can we run Telnyx alongside an existing carrier?
- Yes. Dual carriers with priority routing is the normal design — one is primary, the other takes traffic when it fails or for specific destinations.
