FAQ
Yeastar PBX questions we are asked
- Why choose an appliance over a software PBX?
- When analog, BRI or PRI lines must terminate on site, when there is no virtualization estate to host a PBX, or when a vendor-supported firmware path is required.
- How many concurrent calls can we run?
- That is set by the model and licence, not by extension count. Sizing starts from measured peak concurrency plus headroom, then the model is chosen to match.
- Can remote staff use it safely?
- Yes — through the encrypted remote client service or a VPN. The SIP port is never published directly to the internet.
